Artist's Statement

I created this bench in my signature abstract style using shallow relief. The emerging globalization of art is inherent to my designs. I have found in my travels the universal expression of carving throughout the cultures I encountered. Carving serves as a vehicle for imagery that is inspired by our varying experiences as well as the natural resources we all benefit from.
