Artist's Statement

This bench is a cornucopia of dazzling textiles from around the world. Using the compelling contrasts in Malian mud cloth, the richly detailed embroidery in Chinese silk robes and the vibrant pattern variations in Central Asian textiles, each slat offers a global visual delight.
